Graduate surveys are the central source of information on the match between higher education qualifications and labour market requirements. They provide, for example, answers to the following questions:
- What are the job titles and main activities of graduates?
- Is the curriculum of a study programme appropriate for the professional activity?
- How do graduates rate the quality of their study programme in retrospect?
The feedback of graduates is of great value for universities and contributes to the improvement of study conditions and the practical relevance of study programmes.
The data collection for AP2017 was finished in spring 2019. Currently we run the data analysis and results will be published in 2020.
Joint Research Project
The Graduate Panel 2017 is carried out as a collaborative research project between three research institutions. The German Center for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZWH), Hanover, the International Centre for Higher Education Research at the University of Kassel (INCHER-Kassel) and the Institute for Applied Statistics (ISTAT). The survey is carried out in cooperation with the universities. This cooperation allows for gaining results on a national level as well as on the level of individual study programmes at single universities.
